Good Housing Co. is the work of Heath and Grace, a husband-and-wife team with more than ten years in property behind them and a shared enthusiasm for getting housing right.
We’ve bought, renovated and managed homes across Central Otago, Christchurch and Hawke’s Bay, which is a polite way of saying we’ve learned what makes a house work by living through the things that don’t. Cold rooms, awkward layouts, the renovation that swallows a summer: we’ve met them all, and we’ve taken notes.
These days our attention is firmly on Hawke’s Bay. We create small-scale residential developments that make the most of good sites, thoughtful design, and a healthy respect for the streets they join.
We’re firm believers that a new home shouldn’t stick out like a sore thumb. Each project is designed to feel at home in its surroundings, while quietly delivering the things that actually matter: warm, healthy, practical, low-maintenance spaces that people are genuinely proud to own.
We’re also big on doing things properly and working with good people. Our homes are brought to life by local tradespeople who take real pride in their work, and it tends to show in the places you don’t immediately look.
Ultimately, we’re here to add good housing to Hawke’s Bay. Homes that look right, live well, and leave their neighbourhood a little better than they found it.
